Huron Automotive is currently looking for a service advisor to join our team! As a service writer , you will play a key role in making sure our customers get their vehicles serviced with the repair needed, while educating them through the process. What We Do – We specialize in servicing domestic vehicles and general auto repair. Our services include everything from oil changes and scheduled maintenance to diagnostics and major repairs. We pride ourselves on being an honest shop where our customers know that they can trust us to help them make smart decisions about their car care needs. Key responsibilities:
Customer interaction
- Greet customers and establish a rapport.
- Discuss and document customer concerns about their vehicles.
- Provide a high level of customer service tailored to the expectations of customers.
Vehicle inspection and assessment
- Work with customers to understand their car's issues and concerns.
- Conduct initial assessments or inspections of vehicles to identify problems or maintenance needs.
- Communicate effectively with customers about the diagnostic process and any required testing.
Estimates and quotations
- Provide detailed and accurate cost estimates for repairs, parts, and labor specific to vehicle models.
Technical communication
- Interface with the shop's technicians to understand the technical aspects of repairs.
- Communicate technical information to customers in a clear and understandable manner.
Appointment scheduling
- Coordinate with the service department to schedule appointments.
- Ensure that appointments align with the availability of technicians.
Management
- Work closely with parts departments to ensure the availability of necessary components.
Documentation
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, service history, and vehicle information, emphasizing the importance of adhering to manufacturer specifications.
Customer education
- Educate customers about the specific features, technologies, and maintenance requirements of their vehicles.
- Provide information about warranty coverage and service plans.
Hours: Monday through Friday - 7:30a.m. to 5:30p.m. NO weekends Salary: - Competitive pay

Preferred Qualifications: - Prior experience as service advisor
