Northeast Ohio automotive dealer looking for an experienced controller to oversee multiple dealerships.The Controller reports directly to the COO and Dealer Principal while overseeing the daily accounting operations of the business. The Controller maintains an adequate system of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, ensure the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and maximize profit. In addition, the Controller will supervise the daily accounting operations to ensure efficient cash management, a smooth flow of all transactions, clean accounting records, and recording of all transactions in compliance with the Company's accounting processes and internal controls. The Controller is also tasked with developing periodic financial reports that comply with generally accepted accounting principles. Pay scale adjustable to experience level. Bonuses, Demo and fuel allowance all negotiable in addition to salary componentRESPONSIBILITIES;Prepares and analyzes financial statements and monthly reportsOversees vendor management and outsourcingMaintains an orderly accounting systemOversees accounts payable/receivableCompletes periodic bank reconciliationsIssues timely and complete financial statementsComplies with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filingsProvides daily operating control reportMaintains effective cash management systemEnsures accounting staff is cross trainedCoordinates the provision of information to external auditorsProcesses insurance claims and liability insuranceReports significant budget variances to the Dealer PrincipalOversees compliance with the company's internal control program.Handles HR and Payroll FunctionsQUALIFICATIONS;Minimum 3 - 5 years of progressive and relevant experience in the automotive industry as a controllerExperienced with business applications and accounting software.
