Responsibilities
• General overseeing of the day-to-day functions within the dealership accounting office and managing of the accounting office staff• Helping encourage process development and improvement throughout the store• Maintaining internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and safeguard assets• Obtaining and maintaining a thorough understanding of financial reporting and general ledger structure• Daily bank reconciliation and cash tracking• Account reconciliations and schedule reconciliations• Floorplan reconciliation and manufacturer inventory reconciliations• Monitoring and reconciling bank accounts• Keeping Controller informed of key issues relating to financial activities and accounting staff• Working closely with Controller and General Manager in preparing documents and reconciliations• Responding to inquiries from Controller and upper management on financial results• Providing accounting support to management team
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent• 2-3 years of experience in a multi-dealership office position• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information• Working knowledge of dealership financial statements• Ability to explain technical financial information• Excellent communication skills• Working knowledge of most accounting office positions• Strong management/supervisory skills• Strong computer skills• High energy and highly detailed with honesty and integrity
