Automation Technologist

Job summary
The Engineering Technologist will work as part of the engineering team assisting EGS, automation engineers, and project users in identifying and extracting technical data from a variety of sources.The primary role of the Engineering Technologist is to support the users by providing access or creating user accounts to software and applications supported by Engineering Automation.The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for utilizing the computer to collect, organize, and present technical data.

Responsibilities
• Assisting EGS, automation engineers, and project users in identifying and extracting technical data• Working with the Engineering Automation team on schedule and reporting work progress• Organizing and coordinating software lifecycle documents• Creating user accounts and updating Engineering Automation website• Performing routine data quality checks• Providing user assistance related to automation tools• Supporting training presentations and preparing training documents• Preparing change management documents under engineer supervision• Tracking information, locating documents, and document preparation• Ensuring work is performed on schedule with high quality standards for nuclear facilities
Requirements
• New university grad plus 1 year work experience• Proficient in software tools (MS Excel, Word, Access, Power Point)• Strong aptitude for utilizing the computer to collect, organize, and present technical data• Analyzing data within technical documents and properly classifying information• Monitoring large quantities of information and employing efficient extraction techniques• Excellent communication skills• Attention to detail for capturing relevant technical details from large documents and data sets• Bachelor's degree plus 1 year or less of related experience• US Citizenship required• Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check
