An Automation Engineer with a minimum of 3 years' professional experience is needed in Clarksburg, WV. The Automation Engineer will develop and execute automation solutions for the modernization and new installation of control systems. AUTOMATION ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and implement PLC based automation control systems that include motion control, advanced sensors, VFD drives, and actuators. Support existing installed systems. Perform Level 1 control system programming based on the function descriptions and mechanical and pneumatic layouts. Complete sophisticated assignments requiring development of new and/or improved engineering techniques and procedures. Interface and communicate with local project team (project managers, engineers, support personnel) and internal experts as well as customers and suppliers to provide engineering solutions to technical issues and project-related matters. Conduct integrated testing and simulation of entire system before delivery to the end customer. Perform on site commissioning and training as required. AUTOMATION ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related with applicable experience. A minimum of 3 years' professional experience in a manufacturing setting. Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Experience in automation and/or automation practices. Experience with Siemens TIA Portal and Rockwell RSloigx5000 preferred. Experience with WinCC and Wonderware InTouch HMI systems preferred. Demonstrates ability to apply engineering principles to the solution of design problems. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
