We are looking for a full time audiologist to join our team at a busy otology clinic in the Jackson, Mississippi area. We are a practice of two physicians, one nurse practitioner, and five audiologists that cover the full spectrum of ear pathology including hearing and vestibular impairments.

Job Overview: The Audiologist is responsible for administering and interpreting a variety of diagnostic audiological exams, counseling patients, families, and physicians regarding test results, and reviewing options that best meet the patient's hearing healthcare needs. Performs audiological services in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of hearing disorders for people of all ages. Evaluates, orders, discusses hearing aids and completes hearing aid dispensing. Evaluates, orders, and discusses the need for implantable hearing devices and coordinates patient's care plan.
Responsibilities and Duties: Examine patients (adults and pediatrics) who have hearing, balance, or related ear problemsPreform comprehensive hearing tests and Tympanometry, balance testing (including ABR, EcochG, VEMP, VNG), and Otoacoustic Emissions (OAEs)Document and add charges into Modernizing Medicine and CounselEarCounsel patients on hearing lossCochlear Implant consultation, testing, activation, orientation, adjustments, repairs, and trouble shootingBAHA consultation, fittings, orientation, adjustments, repairs, and trouble shootingHearing aid consultation and troubleshootingClean test equipment and work areasAnswer calls to Audiology and respond to any voicemailsSchedule patient appointmentsPrepare weekly and monthly reportsComplete hearing aid repair formsKeep necessary supplies stocked in work areasAssist the practice with the growth of the Audiology Department by way of community outreach and marketing programsMaintain documentation of customer contact and account updatesOversee 4th year students on all testingThese duties may change over time. Requirements: Required Qualifications: Master's degree, AuD, or Ph.D.Ability to obtain and retain MS State LicensesAbility to interact with patients, despite hearing or speech issuesPhysical Requirements: Must be able to meet the physical requirements of this position including but not limited to; Balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, stretching, lifting, grasping, standing, walking or sitting for extended periods of timeMust have sufficient vision acuity and hearing with the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make discriminations in soundMust have good communication skills with proper speaking etiquette to patients
