The Monitoring and Laboratory Division is seeking an enthusiastic full-time Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) to join the Monitoring and Laboratory Division's (MLD) Administrative Section. The Administrative Section supports the California Air Resources Board's programs by providing consolidated administrative support to MLD. The Section also maintains and supports the warehouse and shipping and receiving functions for the Division.

This limited-term AGPA position is assigned to support the Statewide Mobile Monitoring Initiative (SMMI) alongside another AGPA and two Staff Air Pollution Specialists. dedicated to the project. SMMI will implement $27 million in funds allocated to leverage mobile platforms to perform monitoring of criteria pollutants, greenhouse gases, and toxic air contaminants in communities across the state. This is a unique opportunity to work on a high profile, cutting-edge monitoring project with far reaching implications, within a highly motivated and dynamic team.

This high-profile project involves coordinating with community groups, vendors with mobile monitoring, and data management and visualization teams and with stakeholders both inside and outside CARB. The incumbent will serve as the administrative contract manager. Key responsibilities include managing the administrative and process aspects of contracts, reviewing air monitoring plans, providing administrative review expertise, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders throughout the process, and serving as the point person within the agency for the SMMI project (in conjunction with the two SAPS and other AGPA.

This position requires the employee to possess a valid driver's license, occasionally use personal transportation for business, and to maintain defensive driver training. The employee may be requiredto temporarily alter his/her work schedule, to work overtime, and to travel overnight to accommodate community meetings.

Position located in a high-rise building. Requires being stationary, consistent with office work, for extended periods.
