The City of Philomath has an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of community planning! We are seeking one full-time Associate Planner to join the Administration & Planning Department. What you will do: The person in this position will perform an array of work in city planning including responding to questions from the public with exceptional customer service, reviewing development applications, issuing public notices, preparing staff reports, participating in public hearings before the Planning Commission and City Council and verifying compliance with land-use approvals. Workload will also include development code revisions, comprehensive plan updates and contributions to long-range plans.
This position is with the City of Philomath but has the unique opportunity to provide planning services one day a week for the community of Adair Village, four days a week for Philomath.
What we are looking for: Applicants must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in planning, public administration, civil engineering, or a related field and a minimum of two years' experience in the planning profession. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Salary for the position starts in the range of $5,312.14 - $6,149.4677 per month depending on education and experience, full salary range is currently $5,312.14 - $7,118.78 . Cost of living adjustment of 3.5% will be applied on July 1, 2024.
