The Department of Corrections is recruiting to fill a Corrections Sentencing Associate position. This position is based out of Stanley Correctional Institution (Stanley, Chippewa County) .

Position Summary
This position is responsible for technical services to Persons in Our Care (PIOC) to include: effectively processing detainers, sentence computations, and releases of PIOC.
This position has responsibility for meeting all legal requirements and requires a broad working knowledge of the Statutes, Administrative Code, and changes, as well as court decisions and their proper implication concerning admissions and releases, incarceration, and sentencing computations to ensure the lawful commitment and release of PIOC.
The Corrections Sentencing Associate may assist with processing Public Record Requests. This position will serve as back up to the other Records Office staff as needed.
Salary Information
This position is in pay schedule and range 02-12 and offers a starting pay rate of $22.95/hour .
Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire.
This position may allow occasional remote work with supervisor approval but will normally be on site. This position is FLSA Non-Exempt. A twelve-month probationary period is required.
Normal schedule will be Monday – Friday 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM including a forty-five minute unpaid lunch.

Qualifications Minimally qualified applicants will have:
Experience performing mathematical calculations for specific work-related programs (e.g., budget preparation, accounting, offender sentence computations, etc.)
Experience maintaining, analyzing, and auditing records according to established policies / procedures / statutes, etc. Experience using office software (such as: MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access) to create documents and experience entering information into databases.
