Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. seeks an Associatein New York, New YorkWork to enable Firm to achieve its business goals by partnering with business units across the Firm to realize efficient risk-adjusted returns, acting as a strategic advisor to the Board, and protecting the Firm from exposure to losses as a result of credit, market, liquidity, operational, model, and other risks. Perform in-depth analysis and presentation of risk information to a variety of audiences. Collaborate with various teams across the Risk Department, including Risk Managers, Stress Testing, Capital, Risk Technology, and other control groups. Identify and analyze risk across all business areas and asset classes. Perform daily analysis and commentary on market risk exposures, VaR, and stress test metrics for senior management. Monitor financial markets and economic conditions to identify emerging risks that could impact the firm. Engage and build relationships with colleagues across the firm to develop an understanding of risk issues that could affect the firm. Create and deliver presentations to articulate key risks to senior management. Lead projects, coordinate ad-hoc analysis, and serve as a key point of contact across market risk stakeholders. Develop tools to better understand and communicate drivers of risk. Collaborate with external groups to present changes in management risk metrics.Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $117,000 and $140,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.Requirements:Requires a Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field of study and one (1) year of experience in the position offered or one (1) year as a Product Management Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or a closely related occupation. Requires one (1) year of experience with: Excel including, index match, vlookup, cell and chart formatting, sheet linking, pivot tables and charts; data analysis and visualization by employing statistical methods to collect, organize, and interpret data sets, identifying relevant patterns, trends, and insights; verbal presentations including collaborating with various teams to understand key messages and goals for each presentation, ensuring that all information is conveyed accurately and effectively; analyzing and interpreting financial data across equites, fixed income, and derivatives; Python, R, and SQL for data retrieval and manipulation from a variety of sources including relational databases, APIs, and file-based systems; automating data analysis processes and tasks using Excel, VBA, and Python; developing and utilizing financial models including, market forecasting, and profit and loss (P&L) calculation; managing projects designed to improve operational and process efficiency by accessing and analyzing data and working with partner teams; and business intelligence tools and software including Tableau and Power BI.Qualified Applicants:To apply, visit us at https://ms.taleo.net/careersection/2/jobsearch.ftl?lang=en Scroll down and enter 3240926 as the "Job Number" and click "Search jobs."No calls please.EOE
