Overview
Join our Treasury team and play a key role in optimizing our capital structure while diligently managing our fiduciary responsibilities. This involves managing interest rate and foreign exchange risk, efficiently overseeing cash flows, and safeguarding our financial and fixed assets. Our Treasury roles are deeply technical, requiring a solid knowledge of financial markets and cash management.
As an Associate Finance Manager (AFM) in Capital Markets, you will support the Senior Treasury Manager in shaping our capital structure strategy, executing long-term capital market transactions, and managing the forecasting processes. Additionally, you will handle relationships with banks and rating agencies.
In this role, you'll gain valuable experience in corporate finance and engage with external banking partners. You'll build and execute financial plans, manage Treasury functions, and potentially support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic projects. You'll also develop leadership skills through managing relationships both locally and globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Forecasting and Analysis: Perform timely debt, interest expense, and share forecasting. Partner with Global Treasury leads and planning and analysis teams to generate monthly estimates and analyze changes.
- Cash Flow Management: Maintain and analyze the cash flow model for three-year and long-range plans, capital structures, financing plans, and shareholder returns.
- Debt Issuance and Banking Relationships: Assist in executing long-term debt issuances and support domestic and global banking relationships.
- Financial Reporting: Support external financial reporting by performing month-end and quarter-end close tasks, including hedge valuation, accrual calculations, debt and derivative disclosures, VAR analysis, and credit exposure reporting.
- WACC Recommendation: Contribute to the annual corporate Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC) recommendation.
- Interest Rate Risk Management: Recommend and execute our interest rate risk management strategy.
- Dividend and Share Repurchase Planning: Contribute to the planning and execution of dividends and share repurchases.
- Rating Agency Support: Support quarterly calls and ongoing dialogue with rating agencies. Help create board and rating agency presentations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed of relevant regulatory changes and provide support as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- 5+ years of relevant finance and/or accounting experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Demonstrated leadership in compliance
- Solid understanding of financial markets
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of corporate treasury experience in a multinational company
- Familiarity with Bloomberg and SAP
Additional Considerations:
- Preferred location is Minneapolis, but we are open to 100% remote candidates, with travel based on business needs.
- International relocation or remote working arrangements outside of the US will not be considered.
