Job summary
The Associate Capital Sales Account Manager is responsible for prospecting, forecasting, demoing, and closing business in their assigned territory.They will work with a mentor for the first 12-24 months to learn the business and build relationships with customers.They will be promoted into a Capital Sales Territory of their own within 12-24 months.

Responsibilities
• Manage time and schedule on a daily basis to ensure territory is effectively covered and supported.• Understand, cover, and develop the market within assigned territory and/or accounts.• Meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals, and closed orders.• Assist in developing annual business plans and sales strategies for the territory.• Initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets.• Provide timely feedback to management regarding activity, goals, and performance.• Ensure customer commitments are executed as planned to ensure complete customer satisfaction.• Exhibit ownership of customer related problems and coordinate with appropriate departments for resolution.• Interact with customers and engineers on pre-sale activities including customer visits, evaluation of opportunities, machine assessment and recommendations, part processing recommendations, and development of turnkey proposals.• Develop and maintain partner relationships with machine tool vendors and other third-party vendors.
Requirements
• High school diploma/GED is required; Associate's and/or Bachelor's degrees are preferred.• Minimum of 2 years of previous capital sales, B2B sales, or other relevant sales experience is required.• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.• Proficiency in SalesForce.com is a plus.• Ability to use mathematics to solve problems.• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals and groups.• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.• Ability to think quickly, assess a situation, and make a sound decision.• A valid driver's license is required.• Ability to travel up to 50% of the workweek; some overnight travel required.• Must have access to reliable transportation.• Solid written and verbal communication, listening, organization, and priority setting skills required.• Ability to resolve conflicts.• Ability to perform job with integrity and values consistent with the Morris Group Values.
