Responsibilities:
As a member of our esteemed faculty, you'll have the opportunity to:
Teach a diverse range of Ceramics courses, fostering students' skills in wheel throwing, hand building, glaze chemistry, and more.
Guide students through their artistic development, providing thoughtful feedback and support.
Oversee the operation of our studio facilities, ensuring a safe and productive environment for creative exploration.
Maintain an active studio practice, inspiring both students and colleagues alike.
Engage with the wider academic community, participating in departmental meetings and university committees.
Qualifications:
We're looking for candidates who possess:
A Terminal degree (MFA) in a relevant field.
1-3 years' teaching experience in art and design curriculum, or significant industry experience.
A passion for interdisciplinary collaboration and innovative teaching methods.
A commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in the classroom.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and residency in select states.
Preferred Attributes:
Candidates with the following qualities will receive special consideration:
Experience in industrial ceramics applications and product design.
Strong mentoring skills and a dedication to student success.
Proficiency in additional areas such as Drawing, Painting, or Art History.
