Responsibilities
Teach courses as required in the Department of Engineering and Engineering Technology, establish an active research program in an area of biomedical engineering, and contribute to professional service activities at the department, campus, and national level. Qualifications Required: Earned doctorate in an engineering discipline with a focus in human health or a closely related field in human health. ABD candidates will be considered. Official transcripts showing conferment must be provided prior to starting work. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Preferred: Demonstrated ability to teach courses in biomanufacturing, biomaterials, synthetic biology, prosthetics/orthopedics, medical device design, biomedical imaging, robotics, and/or programming/computing. Demonstrated ability to form productive collaborations with both internal and external partners. Demonstrated ability to establish an active research program. Demonstrated experience fostering an inclusive learning, research, service, and/or outreach environment. Demonstrated experience collaborating with external partners to help enhance the existing program offerings (teaching and/or research) of the university.
