Job Summary:Wilkinson Cadillac Chevrolet Buick GMC is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our accounting team in Sanford, North Carolina. As an Assistant Controller, you will be responsible for providing financial support to our dealership by assisting our controller in day-to-day operations such as managing accounts, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting procedures. This is a full-time, hourly position in the auto industry and will be an individual contributor role.Compensation & BenefitsSalary Range $80,000 - $89,000Weekly PayEmployee DiscountsMedical and Dental insurancePaid Time OffHealth Savings AccountLife InsuranceEmployee Vehicle Purchasing Program401(k) retirement plan with company match5 day work weekResponsibilitiesAssist the controller in preparing and maintaining financial records and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statementsPrepare journal entries, conduct account reconciliations, and ensure accuracy of financial dataReview and analyze vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and other financial documentsHelp maintain inventory control and reconcile inventory counts with financial recordsEnsure compliance with all accounting procedures, policies, and regulationsAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisCollaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial information for decision-making purposesProvide support during audits and maintain all necessary documentationStay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in accounting practicesAssist the controller with payroll and HR as neededAssist the controller with daily floorplan payoffsRequirementsBachelor's degree in accounting (preferred but not required)2-5 years of experience working in an accounting role, preferably in an automotive dealershipStrong understanding of accounting principles and proceduresExperience with CDK DMS system is preferred but not requiredExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentStrong attention to detail and time management skillsExperience with inventory control and dealership operations is a plusStrong desire to look for solutions to daily challengesEEOC Statement:Wilkinson Cadillac Chevrolet Buick GMC is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity at our company.
