Job Description RESPONSIBILITIES :
Teach a variety of lower-level mathematics, statistics, and/or mathematics education courses. Evaluate student performance in courses taught using a variety of assessments. Instruct courses in varied locations, at varied times, and via various media commensurate with department and university needs. Engage in scholarly research or creative achievement to enhance knowledge of field. Provide evidence of continuing preparation and study in the field to enhance teaching abilities. Contribute to student growth and development including student advising. Provide service to the university and community including the program, the department, the college, the university, and the greater community. Support Winona State University's mission to enhance the intellectual, social, cultural, and economic vitality of the people and communities we serve. Required Qualifications Minimum Qualifications :
Master's degree in mathematics, statistics/biostatistics, or mathematics education with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in either mathematics or statistics content courses. Demonstrated excellence in the teaching of lower-level mathematics or statistics content courses. Strong communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Preferred Qualifications :
Skills/ability to integrate technology to enhance learning and teaching. Experience in teaching lower-level mathematics or statistics courses at the college level. Interest in advancing departmental goals and the mission of Winona State University. Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues. Demonstrated interest in professional growth and development. Demonstrated interest in service to the department, college, university, and greater community. Other Requirements A complete online application will include:

About About the Department: Winona State University was founded as the first teacher college west of the Mississippi and continues to provide quality teachers. The Department of Mathematics and Statistics has approximately 250 majors and minors in the following programs: Data Science, Mathematics, Mathematics Education, and Statistics. A significant portion of the teaching load in the department is aimed toward lower-level service courses in mathematics, statistics, and mathematics education for all departments across the university.
