Assembler - 2nd Shift The Assembler - 2nd Shift performs repetitive assembly operations to assemble seating and positioning equipment according to specifications. Our Assembly department in New Berlin, WI is now looking for a Assembler - 2nd Shift. Key Tasks Perform repetitive assembly operations to assemble seating and positioning equipment according to specifications. Read and follow work order specifications via Electronic Distribution of Orders (EDO) & order hard copies to build and assemble quality parts in an accurate and timely fashion. Operate band saw, grinder and portable power tools and basic hand tools ; hammer, utility knife, tape gun ect. Locate materials required to assemble products. Operate power tools, solder iron, belt press, hammer, tape gun, screwdrivers ect. Clean, bag, tag, package and label product cases. Maintain Kanban System and participate in cycle counts Assemble kit bags. Recognize and communicate defective parts. Communicate and work with department team members and appropriate departments regarding product issues. Assist and Cross train in other departments, as needed, to ensure products are completed on time. Follow and comply with all safety, work rules, regulations, ISO procedures, lean Initiatives and lean events. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards. Maintain 5'S Program. Your Background High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior relevant manufacturing experience preferred. Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide). Ability to read a tape measure. Must have the ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions written in English. Must be familiar with portable power tools such as a drill, band saw, and grinder. Good oral and written communication skills in order to interact with employees and supervisor.
