GLO Resources is hiring a Milling Crew Operator in the Greater New Orleans area. The rate of pay is $22 - $24 per hour DOE. Must be able to operate asphalt milling machines, rollers, powerbroom, and skid steers with milling attachments. Typical hours worked are Monday – Friday, 10-hour days with weekend work available at times.
Job Overview:
· Responsible with operating asphalt milling machines, rollers, powerbroom, and skid steers with milling attachments and other equipment in the removal and installation of asphalt surfaces and is responsible for routine maintenance on equipment and tools. Also, will assist (if needed) with preparing the job site, setting up equipment and performing manual labor such as raking, sweeping, and lining out the road.
· Inspecting machinery: Before operating asphalt machinery, checks the machinery for any issues and reports them to their supervisor
· Uses spray paint, string, and concrete or water mixes, and lays out guidelines for curbs
· Operates machines to spread, smooth, level, or steel-reinforce asphalt, concrete, or stone on road beds.
· Monitors and controls temperature settings of asphalt mixture and is responsible for regulating the flow of asphalt materials.
· Operates the equipment in a straight line at the correct speed based on truck material delivery
· May perform general Asphalt labor duties
Requirements:
· Possess 1 + years of asphalt experience (must specify experience when replying)
· Possess 1 + years' experience operating asphalt equipment.
· Must be proficient with milling machine, powerbroom, skidsteer with milling attachments.
· Previous milling experience preferred.
