Lettuce Entertain You is looking for an AREA DIRECTOR of HUMAN RESOURCES / HR with 5+ years of experience in HR roles of progressing responsibility, including employee relations, conflict resolution and investigations experience. The Area Director of HR will support our Las Vegas restaurants, currently including Eiffel Tower; Mon Ami Gabi; Joe's Stone Crab, Prime Steak, and Seafood; RPM Italian; El Segundo Sol; Happy Camper; and Summer House in the Durango Resort. This is a hybrid position located in Las Vegas which will require spending approximately 75% or more of the work week in one or more of our restaurants.

We participate in E-Verify / Participamos en E-Verify Some of Area Director of HR Benefits: Quarterly Bonus Blue Cross Blue Shield Medical Insurance Dental & Vision Insurance Domestic Partner Benefits Paid Time Off 401(k) Work out of one or more of the Company restaurants 75% or more of each work week Conduct investigations, build in-person relationships, obtain and respond to employee feedback, gauge employee engagement levels, coach management teams and provide employee relations support Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to the day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance in partnership with senior human resources leadership and the legal department, as necessary Act as the first point of contact, and proactively support and respond to HR/employment related employee and manager inquiries of all kinds, and advise leadership on the appropriate resolution Recommend approaches to HR and operations leaders that encourage an engaging and productive work environment, foster Lettuce's Culture of Caring, support operational and business goals, and proactively reduce risk through ethical compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements Collaborate with HR, operations and legal teams and partners to identify employee relations trends and challenges, assess areas of Company risk, identify root causes, and develop proactive long-term solutions Support the Employee Relations team's mission to execute its strategic and tactical performance management, employee feedback, DEI, employee policy and other goals as directed Provide or facilitate English/Spanish translation of written and verbal materials and communications for HR and other Lettuce teams Model and promote teamwork across all teams Use tact and good judgment when dealing with challenges pertaining to guests, vendors and employees, and respond with patience and courtesy Work a variety of days and shifts (including early mornings, late nights and weekends) at multiple sites with or without overnight travel, as needed Move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds 5+ years of experience in progressing HR roles is required (HR Business Partner/Generalist experience preferred, hospitality / restaurant industry preferred) Skilled in office administration Bilingual English/Spanish language skills, written and verbal (preferred skill)
