Architect
Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental preservation, is looking for an Architect for their Vancouver, Washington location. In this role you will support the design and facilitates client management approved construction, remodel, or replacement of building facilities, HVAC, plumbing, and architectural components on all facilities including Substations, Control Houses, Relay Houses, remote Radio Buildings, Maintenance Headquarters, Control Centers (CC), and miscellaneous support buildings.

Key Responsibilities for Architect:
with design and project scoping.
estimation tasks conducted at preliminary and final stages of design.
Architecture/Engineering (AE) & Construction project cost documentation.
design and construction scheduling utilizing MS Project.
and/or clarify questions about design and specifications of the building/system.
in evaluating and designing approved changes if it is learned that a change in design is required and approved.
and recommend to the COR that the work is complete for a contractor's progress billing.
and coordinate Construction Document Package(s) processing.
in development of evaluation criteria and work requirements for Design and Construction Service Contracts.
Architect / Engineering and construction bid packets and deliver technical input and recommendations.
and coordinate design, encompassing new construction and alterations to existing facilities. This includes:
Scoping Phase, Assessment Phase, and Schematic Design Phase.
with the development of Construction Document packages (CDs):
review, processing, and tracking.
design reviews at design milestone dates.
with construction and procurement to interpret drawings, specs, and design documents.
to project sites for field inspection during construction.
Close-Out information dispersal & filing.
and review construction specifications.
and compile, and track drawings and specifications among design groups from in-house and outside architects and engineers.

Requirements for Architect:
U.S. citizenship and valid driver's license.
Bachelor's degree in architecture is required.
A Licensed Architect in the following states is preferred: Oregon, Washington, Montana, and/or Idaho.
10 years of demonstrated work-related experience is required.
4 years of experience with graphics or photo imaging software such as Sketchup or Photoshop.
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) knowledge.
Working knowledge and ability to utilize CAD MicroStation or comparable software to facilitate the completion of drawings and renderings.
Basic proficiency with MS Project sufficient to create project schedules.
