Job summary
Full-time position as an Archaeologist III at AECOM in Portland, OregonResponsibilities include executing projects and leading project implementationRegular, full-time, salaried position with potential Field Director or Principal Investigator roles
Job seniority: mid-to-senior level
Responsibilities
• Cultural resources team support for the decommissioning of the Lower Klamath Project• Managing projects with small- to large-scale field efforts and intensive schedules• Archival research, technical report writing, archaeological permitting, data collection, and GIS mapping• Authoring or reviewing reports, managing compliance monitoring projects• Supervising personnel in the field, office, and laboratory• Liaising with clients and stakeholders, organizing data• Handling multiple tasks, communicating priorities• Client management duties, working independently and as part of a team• Flexibility and willingness to support multiple projects, including travel
Requirements
• BA/BS Degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, History, or closely related field• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent• Must be willing to travel and conduct fieldwork throughout the Pacific Northwest• Current valid driver's license and U.S. government issued identification
Key Skills Needed
• Knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations• Excellent technical writing and communication skills• Experience with tribal consultation in the Pacific Northwest• Proficiency in GIS and geospatial software• Leadership capabilities for proposals and project management
