The Regulatory Analyst would be working for one of the largest university endowments in the United States,
full time / 40 hours per week.

Fully Remote after training in
Midland, TX. Will consider candidates in Midland or Houston.
Schedule : Monday - Friday 8AM to 5PM
Pay range:
$28 - $48.20 per hour, based on experience

Summary/Description:.
The Regulatory Analyst will be responsible for monitoring regulatory compliance of lease provisions on University Lands' mineral leases, maintaining well records pertinent to determining the validity of each lease and offering customer support for the filing of required regulatory documents. Daily correspondence with the operators on University Lands is necessary to ensure data compliance.
Job Responsibilities
Collect, analyze, and enter data received from the operators regarding well permitting, drilling and completion of wells, operator changes, consolidations, sub-divisions, down-hole commingles, etc. (RRC forms).
Monitor Regulatory compliance of oil and gas operators on Lands acreage.
Work with operators to ensure Lands' well records are current and complete.
Create penalty invoices for Regulatory non-compliance.
Provide Industry education and assistance in reference to Lands' data requirements and use of public website.
Other duties as assigned.
CERTIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
Proficiency using ArcGIS Pro and related tools and extensions
Familiarity with Oil and Gas industry and/or Land Management
Basic understanding of PLSS concepts
Basic understanding of platting and surveying methods
Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Possess strong attention to detail
Minimum: 1-year of ArcPro editing experience
Minimum: 1-year managing spatial data for Land Management or Oil & Gas
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree. Each year of right of way, land, title, or oil and gas land experience may substitute for one year of college (30 semester hours) up to a maximum of four years.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
Bachelor of Science degree in related field
Minimum 5 years' experience with Texas Oil and Gas Regulatory forms
Experience working with the Texas Railroad Commission
