Job summary
Responsible for safe and efficient management of aquatic operations at Moab Recreation and Aquatic CenterCoordinates and implements recreational and aquatic programsTrains, schedules, and supervises aquatics staff
Job seniority: mid-to-senior level
Responsibilities
• Accomplish performance goals set by Director• Comply with safety regulations and best practices• Hire, train, and certify lifeguard and aquatic staff• Supervise and evaluate staff performance• Schedule aquatic staff• Plan and oversee emergency action plan coordination• Plan, promote, and implement aquatic programming• Communicate with front desk staff• Coordinate and assist with cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance• Maintain records and reports• Prepare and oversee budget• Maintain positive public relations• Handle patron complaints professionally• Other duties as assigned
Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent• 2 years of aquatic experience• 1 year of supervisory experience in an aquatic setting• Ability to establish positive relationships• Ability to work irregular hours and weekends• Excellent interpersonal, management, leadership, organizational, programming, and practical fitness skills• Knowledge of water safety, lifeguarding, and pool maintenance• Understanding of departmental policies, procedures, and regulations
