About the Agency: The mission of the Mississippi Insurance Department is to impartially enforce the laws and regulations enumerated in Mississippi Code Ann. About the Position: This position is with the MS Insurance Department, Information Technology Division. It will support and maintain the availability, functionality, efficiency and design of MID's website. Will be involved in the design and development of applications that reside on or may appear on the website. Will be involved in application development as well as system analysis and design. Will be involved in the design and development of applications and databasesthat will work across multiple platforms and software. Will be involved in database administration, managing Microsoft, Oracle and Access databases.
What you'll need to be Successful: Successful candidate must have strong communication skills as well as great listening skills. Can work in a team environment and get along well with others. Excellent organizational skills and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years IT experience with emphasis in application development and support. Agency preferred qualifications: Must have experience with WordPress, Microsoft Visual Studio.NET, HTML, Microsoft SQL, Oracle, VB and ASP.
