Volt is hiring an Applications Engineer to work with our client onsite in Windsor, CT in a Direct Hire opportunity .
In this role you will be responsible for developing proposals and assessing customer needs to recommend appropriate products/services. You will provide technical support to clients during the sale of the product and troubleshoot technical problems. Additionally, as an Applications Engineer, you will: Create solutions to meet the needs of our customers. Generate Sales Proposals and create quotes. Ensure application specifications are received per standard work and resolve any issues with customers. Evaluate and launch purchase order to create manufacture projects. Collaborate cross-functionally to obtain information relative to orders and quotes. Observe all safety standards and ensure department compliance. Utilize a Daily ERP System such as Salesforce, CRM, etc. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have: Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent. 7+ years of experience in engineering. Ability to Read Specifications, Schematics, Technical Drawings, and Blueprints Be familiar with AutoCAD and able to read/review 2D/3D Drawings. Able to multitask and handle a high volume of requests. Excellent communication skills and detail oriented. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Able to troubleshoot and provide solutions to customers. Previous experience working in air handling industry such as turbines, fans, compressors, etc. a plus Rotating equipment experience is a plus. Pay Rate: $95,000 -105,000/annually *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
