Our client is a national transportation company that's expanding their shared services group in Western, NY.

The

IT Application Development Lead

will coordinate all software maintenance and development activities. This pivotal role involves managing a team of developers, overseeing project lifecycles, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions aligned with business objectives.Develop and implement a strategic vision for software development that aligns with the organization's overall business goals. Define and prioritize development initiatives.Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.Collaborate with key stakeholders, including business analysts, product owners, and quality assurance teams, to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure successful project outcomes.Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of reliable, scalable, and high-performance software solutions.Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies. Introduce new technologies and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the development process.Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors when necessary, managing relationships and ensuring deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations.Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in project management or software development are preferred.7+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.Proven experience managing software development projects, including Agile methodologies. Familiarity with project management tools.Solid understanding of software development technologies, languages, and frameworks. Previous hands-on development experience is a plus.Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues, propose effective solutions, and drive projects to successful completion.

Salary:

$115,000 - $130,000
