Application Delivery Lead Location Hybrid remote in Schaumburg, IL : Zurich North America is currently hiring an Application Delivery Lead and this person will report to a Project Leader Manager II, Enterprise Underwriting Solutions. This person will work at the Schaumburg, IL Zurich North America HQ. Responsibilities:
Oversee the delivery of large-scale IT underwriting implementations Develop and execute delivery plan, outlining scope, timeline, milestones, resources and cost. Gain buy-in on plan from key project stakeholders. Evaluate impact of changes, making adjustments to delivery plan as required. Organize and facilitate cross-functional stakeholder reviews, including creation of agenda, presentation content and meeting minutes Understand customers' processes and products and how technical solution fits within the goals of the function or business unit Collaborate across the organization to ensure technology is aligned with process and operating model changes Serve as a Scrum Master for the implementation, tracking deliverables, managing dependencies and resolving blockers across the various work streams Create resource plan based on project estimates, track resource allocations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure efficient resource utilization Develop cost / benefit analysis, manage implementation budget and provide visibility into financial forecast Conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and manage risks through full project lifecycle Support, review and validate the documentation of functional specifications Engage with the solution architect in the reviews and validation of the detailed technical design for business applications provided by the supplier to ensure alignment with business requirements; validate suppliers estimates Estimate Rough Order of Magnitude for the level of effort/cost of new application functionality Perform quality review checks on project deliverables Make recommendations for application performance and implementation improvements Act as liaison between Business and IT Perform impact analysis of application changes across various components holding an end-to-end view of the system Manage vendor resources on/offshore Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and 7 or more years of experience in the information technology area OR Zurich Cybersecurity Technician Apprentice, including Associate Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the information technology area OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 9 or more years of experience in the information technology area AND MS Office experience Experience in information technology operations Project management experience Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in communicating and syndicating IT topics with business leadership and to a range of technical and non-technical staff Strong relationship management skills with experience in partnering and building credibility with senior leaders Experience in Using Agile Tools, methodologies, and practices in delivering large transformation program / project Functional and or technical knowledge of Commercial insurance industry business processes esp., Underwriting process Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Agile Scrum Certification Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Customer service experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong consulting and influencing skills IT vendor / service management experience As a condition of employment at Zurich, employees must adhere to any COVID-related health and safety protocols in place at that time (
