Why you'll love this job This job is a member of the Fuel and Energy team within our Procurement division. This role is responsible for assisting the Company's fuel group by maintaining and enhancing current fuel forecasting, data analysis, and streamlining processes utilizing Excel, Tableau, and SAP. Responsible for analyzing the financial position of American Airlines by maintaining and enhancing current fuel forecasting, budget, and other financial models. What you'll do Maintain and enhance fuel consumption forecasting models in Tableau and Excel
Analyze and create diverse fuel reports for fuel consumption and collaborate in long range forecast
Monitor commodities markets and analyze price index differentials using available tools (e.g., Bloomberg, Marketview etc.)
Update and maintain contractual prices and other fees in internal databases
Communicate fuel consumption projections with AA fuel supplier in a timely manner
Prepare daily prepays for fuel suppliers as per the contract terms
Help diverse teams across the company and become a key member in helping and participating in airport operational calls for new stations, services, restarts
Provide support for yearly budget, month end close and operations and perform variance analysis
Proven project management skills involving multiple departments and/or companies with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Take initiative to automatization projects of fuel databases
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate to senior management and other departments
Perform other duties as required
All you'll need for success Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or other relevant field or equivalent experience/training 3 years of work experience or equivalent Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience Master of Business Administration Skills, Licenses & Certifications Knowledge of Tableau, SAP, Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
Experience in Finance position, including experience with financial modeling and analysis
Superior analytical skills
Adaptability and flexibility in the use of analytical approaches retaining to financial issues
Ability to negotiate and communicate effectively with all levels of management
Excellent teamwork skills, with proven ability to work effectively in a variety of situations
Advanced aptitude in problem-solving, including the ability to logically structure an appropriate analytical framework
