Within GABM sits the Learning, Development, and Communications Strategy team, which manages Amex Marketing U,a unique learning and development program built for marketers, by marketers. Amex Marketing U inspires marketers to develop their career through innovative flexible and adaptable learning experiences and opportunitiesthat foster collaboration and knowledge sharing across the enterprise.Our team is looking foran experiencedanalystwho canelevate the work of Amex Marketing Uthroughinspiringandinformative communications.The colleague willmanageallcommunicationschannelsfor AmexMarketing U, includingdraftingandeditingour internal newsletter–theMarketer's Feed–actingas community manager for our Slackchannel, creatingengagingvideocontent,and more.The ideal candidateisa storyteller with an editorial mindsetwhois passionate about internalcommunicationsandeager to use communicationsto keep marketers excited about our culture of learning.Driven by curiosity, you will be a constant generator of story ideas and able to produce content early and oftentosupportmarketing colleagues across AmericanExpress andpositionAmex Marketing U asabest-in-classlearningprogram.Responsibilities:End-to-endownershipofthe Marketer's Feed, a twice monthly internal newsletter meant to engage and inspiremarketing colleagues across American Express, including: Designing and buildingthe newsletter inOutlookandintegrating images, videos, and text to ensure avisually appealingcommunicationForward-lookingplanningtoidentifyfeaturesand story ideasfrom internalpartners and external resourcesEstablishingandmaintainingstrong relationshipsacrossenterprisemarketingteams tosourcecontentto be included in thenewsletterEffectively communicatingeditorial processesforcollaboratorcontent,includingcommunication of keydates,milestones,and/ordeadlines Editingand proofreadingnewsletters for grammar, punctuation, spelling, andconformity with brand guidelinesReviewingdata associated withthenewsletter toidentifyareas for improvedengagementPrimarymanagement of our#global-marketing-community Slack channel, includingproducing and postingweekly 'Tuesday Tips'and other engaging contentProducingsocial-mediastyle videos highlighting marketingcolleagues(e.g., interviews, Day in the Life, etc.)andrecappingkey Amex Marketing U events Overall communications supportfor various Amex Marketing U programming/initiatives, including invitationcreationandsimple designworkAssistingwith broader Amex Marketing U events when needed.Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor'sDegree or 3 years of work experience.Superior, detail-oriented verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to bring a story tolifeExperience working with cross-functional teams and variousaudiencesExcellent organizational skills with the ability toset and meetdeadlinesStrong copyediting and copywriting skills Previousexperience managing a communications strategy and/or with internal communications is aplusPreviousexperience with video, gif,and/ordesign creation is aplusAbility to work professionally and collaboratively with a broad range of internal businesspartnersTeam player who can work in a collaborative, cross-functional, and highly matrixedenvironmentWorks well under deadline pressure with speed andaccuracyExperience with the following tools a plus: Outlook,Canva, CamtasiaSalary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
