This position is responsible for business system administration and management of NCJTC's registration system, website, and Microsoft Dynamics applications. The individual will lead the design, testing, implementation, and maintenance of the systems; work with technical experts to evaluate needs within the department, develop procedures, evaluate options, perform gap analysis, document process and design recommendations and implement appropriate solutions. This position acts as a coordinating and collaborative bridge between the functional/operational areas of NCJTC and key technical positions within the Information Technology Department as well as external technology vendors. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Collaborates with department staff to thoroughly understand the needs to be supported by the information systems and technology. Develops, maintains, and provides technical subject matter expertise in order to convey and communicate capabilities, and delivers knowledge transfer to appropriate staff for skill development. Identifies detailed requirements from business users through interviews, documentation, and facilitated working sessions for process improvement initiatives and implementing upgrade enhancements. Leads/participates in Project and Change Management activities for new releases. Ensures there is adequate end-user documentation, communication and training for any system changes, enhancements and new implementations/upgrades. Structures and develops test plans (e.g. test objectives, test cases, test data and test scripts) for executing unit, integration, system and/or acceptance testing in order to ensure the solution meets the business requirements. Manages acceptance testing with the business users performing system configuration and integration testing including the functionality, performance, and fit-for-use to ensure original requirements are met and defined constraints are controlled. Develops reports and dashboards for functional areas ensuring the accuracy, quality, and usability of the data through complex data analysis and best-practice data management methods. Collaborates with the Project Manager to ensure the needs of the department have been met. Acts as liaison with Information Technology and/or outside vendors to support relevant systems. Performs system maintenance, including assisting in the review, testing and implementation of system upgrades or patches. Collaborates with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix. Maintains system tables. Documents process and results. SECONDARY DUTIES Serves as initial point of contact for project communications with constituent groups. Leads and participates in team-based project activities and strategic planning initiatives. Limited travel may be involved. QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE Associate degree in Business Administration or Information Technology required (Bachelor's degree preferred), AND Three or more years of recent, related experience working in an Analyst or system administration role supporting Microsoft Dynamics or other Microsoft database systems, OR An equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience. Experience working effectively with IT, Finance, HR, and cross-functional colleagues is required. Demonstrated system configuration experience and a working knowledge of system design and development techniques is required. Advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills are required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint). Experience with Microsoft Power BI preferred. Business Analysis (CCBA) or Project Management (CAPM or PMP) certification or equivalent training is preferred. Solid leadership skills and ability to create and foster a team environment. Excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as good listening skills. Proven analytical skills. Strong research, project scheduling and project management skills. Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to maintain an excellent working relationship with internal and external customers, including college administrators and staff. Ability to work with diverse student, staff, and community populations. Self-motivated with the ability to perform independently. Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressure. Demonstrate a positive attitude, maturity, initiative and integrity with a professional image contributing to the success of the college. Work effectively in a team environment. Ability to analyze and present data and program information, orally and in writing and in non-technical language. Ability to identify and seek needed information. Ability to think strategically and demonstrate critical thinking skills. Ability to identify needed action without continual direction. Additional Information
Pay: $62,9000.00 - $94,300.00 per year.
Pay is based on a multitude of factors, including experience, qualifications, education, relevant certifications, internal equity, and market data. Note: Internal applicants' wages will be based on the applicable compensation structure.
