Position : Alternate FSO/ISSO
Location: Huntsville, AL
Schedule: Full-Time / Exempt
Position Description Gray Analytics is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to support the Facility Security Officer and act as the Information Systems Security Officer at our Corporate Headquarters.
Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University
• Assist the FSO by review/creation of DD254's/PWS or SOW documentation and issuance of subcontract DD254's when necessary, facilitate completion of SF312's and any other onboarding activities needed to ensure a smooth onboarding experience of new employees.
• Provides initial security briefings and, if required, briefings for NATO and COMSEC. NATO and COMSEC updates are made in DISS and/or directly to the customer.
• Completes/submits encrypted VARs/VALs and SCI requests.
• Works directly with the information security section to investigate security breaches, identifies and resolves security related problems that arise, and finalizes appropriate agency reports as required.
• Familiarity using the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and National Background Investigation Services (NBIS) systems to manage personnel security clearances, initiating initial investigations and periodic reviews, visit requests, incident
reports, reciprocity requests, verification of clearances, and all other actions processed in this system. • Assists the FSO as the Security SME for writing and/or reviewing the security portion of proposals and other contract requirements.
• Engages in ongoing communications with co-workers as well as company business groups ensuring company-wide understanding of security policies and procedures.
• Review systems documentation for completeness and readiness for security control assessor validation. The ISSM shall coordinate with the appropriate system owner to gather missing information and assist the Government in resolving issues precluding validation analysis, such as Impact values (Low, Moderate, High) and Security Objectives (Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA)), and System Categorization
• Review RMF documentation for completeness and readiness for validation analysis in support of System Accreditation
• Provide RMF execution support throughout all RMF phases including coordinating Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) training and access
• Assist the Government in reviewing compliance with current Cybersecurity policy, regulations, and directives to ensure secure configuration and operation of all operated and maintained enterprise capabilities and IT assets, proposing corrective actions as required
• Maintain and track the delays to disconnect from initiation to signature by properly appointed Authorizing Officials (AO)
• Working knowledge of COMSEC to include hand receipt holder, account for and load keying material
• Evaluate user issues and identify solutions
Desired Qualifications: • Must have 5 years' experience as a federal contractor providing industrial and information security support for government customers
• Current Top-Secret Clearance
• Certified as an FSO or ISSM per the NISPOM requirements. Possessing certification is preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to interact with, and ability to present to, senior level managers
• Hands on working experience within DISS, NBIS, NISS, and SWFT.
Security Requirements: • Candidate must be a US Citizen with a current US DoD Top Secret Clearance or possess/meet the eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance
• Potential Certifications:
o Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
o Certified Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)
o Certified Facility Security Officer (FSO)
