Position Summary: The W&M Law School Election Law Program and the Alliance of Students at the Polls is recruiting a national network of Law students to support election officials. The primary duties involve statutory research, reporting on their respective state's statutes, and collaborating with local election officials.
Conditions of Employment: This position is a temporary (hourly) position not to exceed 6 months. All hourly employees are subject to the limitations of the Virginia Manpower Control Program and total hours worked may not exceed 1500 per year. This position is limited to 40 hours per week. This is a non-exempt position, eligible to receive overtime in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act. Essential Designation: No

Required Qualifications: Currently enrolled in a JD program at an accredited law school Experience with legal research Experience with and/or knowledge of election laws Skilled in the use of word processing applications A self-directed professional with strong oral and written communications skills Excellent interpersonal skills Is the position remote work eligible?: Full-time (works remotely full-time and has no assigned university office)
