Our client is recruiting for an A&P Mechanic in Milwaukee, WI.The position is under general supervision and involves maintenance, modification, and servicing of aircraft and aircraft components.Requires up to 3-5 years or more experience.
Job seniority: mid-to-senior level
Responsibilities
• Perform routine scheduled maintenance and aircraft inspection following specifications.• Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine repair methods.• Modify aircraft systems or components as per drawings and technical publications.• Assemble and install components using hand and power tools.• Provide emergency repairs to minimize aircraft downtime.• Review maintenance records and flight logs to schedule maintenance checks.• Process documentation and paperwork.• Follow quality, safety, and sanitation regulations.• Ability to travel as required.• Comply with clean-up and housekeeping procedures.
Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.• Preferred Education: 1-2 years of technical college/training or equivalent.• FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification required.• Up to 3-5 years or more experience in aircraft maintenance.• Preferred Experience: Up to 6 years or more experience.• Skills required: Interpret drawings, specifications, and schematics of aircraft parts/components• Problem-solving and independent decision-making skills.• Good communication skills.• Machine skills: operate hand and power tools, calculator, PC, telephone, and fax machine.• Physical abilities: ability to climb ladders, sit-stand, crouch, bend for extended periods.• Vision requirements: ability to adjust vision to bring objects into focus.• Communication skills: effectively communicate with others in the work environment and external customers.• Representation: represent the company in a professional and positive manner.• Contacts: exchange information with employees and external customers.
