Full job description Position Type : 7-12 Agriculture Teacher
Location: Greenbrier School District Qualifications :
Valid Arkansas Teaching License for Agriculture OR Willingness to collaborate with district and DCTE/DESE to obtain a CTE technical permit

Job Description This position is responsible for providing instruction and support designed to prepare students for current and future success.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Consistently uses effective and productive soft skills with all school district stakeholders Reports to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis Models and teaches employability skills Teaches District-approved curriculum daily Implement school or district curricular goals Participate in all prescribed professional development programs and activities, including but not limited to RISE training Meet requirements of Science of Reading proficiency and/or awareness Develops lesson plans and instructional materials Provides individualized and small group instruction to differentiate for the needs of each student daily Contributes to the development of school and district agricultural program and overall CTE program and initiatives Leads student clubs and chapters as assigned by school administration; serves as FFA advisor Ensures CTE students' completion of aligned industry certifications Fully participates in school wide Social Emotional Learning programs and initiatives Creates and maintains a classroom environment that is conducive and appropriate to learning in both appearance and activities Motivate students to learn Carries out lesson plans into developmentally appropriate learning experiences daily. Guides the learning process toward the achievement of learning objectives and curriculum goals daily Establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, etc, and communicates these objectives to students Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities daily Assists students in establishing and maintaining standards of behavior to achieve an effective learning atmosphere daily Progress monitor students' growth (academic/social/behavior) and report monitoring data Communicate with students and parents on student progress on a continuous basis Actively participates on content and/or grade level team(s) within the school Participate in collegial and professional activities within the school and District Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations Develops and administers content specific assessments for the purpose of assessing student competency levels Instructs students for the purpose of improving their success in academics and career readiness through a defined course and programs of study Maintain personal safety of students Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns and /or directs to appropriate personnel for resolution. Ensure that substitutes will have all information necessary for effective instruction Follow state, district, and school policies and expectations Other duties as assigned. Job Contact Information:
