Job Description SummaryPerform essential duties and responsibility in service cells which includes weldingcomponents and manufacturing operations.Job DescriptionStarting pay of $21.69 per hour plus 10% shift differential. Third shift hours are Sun - Thur 10pm - 6:30am, however training on days would be required for approximately 6 months.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESWelds together metal components as specified by layout, blueprints, diagrams, or manufacturing operations sheet (MOS), using electric arc-welding equipmentWelds in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions. Examines weld for bead size and other specificationsManually applies filler rod to supply weld metal. Cleans weld joint or work piece. Prepares parts for weldingPositions or clamps work pieces together or assembles them in a jig or fixtureMay tack assemblies togetherReading, planning, verifying fixture calibrationMaintains eQuals requirementsUse standards shop measuring devices (calipers and micrometers)Basic housekeeping of cell (5S)Review, understand and follow routers, procedures, specification, and other instructions for completeness to perform operationsEnsures all company paperwork is filled-out accuratelyFully understands blueprintsRead and understand inspection sheetsIdentify revision levelsProduce error free productsMeet production goalsWork to established Lean Manufacturing guidelinesUnderstand safety and machining hazardsHave a basic understanding of welding and associated processes in one area within your home cellWilling to undergo on-the-job training in order to obtain CVP certification within first 6 months as an Associate Metal Joining SpecialistQUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
