About the Role & Team Capella is looking for an enthusiastic Aerospace Technician with experience producing clean, efficient and reliable modifications to PCBs to join our growing manufacturing team. Our Aerospace Technician will collaborate with our engineering team on rework and repair strategies and finishing manufacturing steps on engineering model and flight model hardware.
Role Responsibilities Perform rework and repair on electrical components according to specifications and quality standards. Collaborate with engineering team on rework and repair strategies. Maintain accurate documentation and records of all rework activities. Assist in building wire harnesses and soldering components. Troubleshoot issues with electrical systems. Participate in continuous improvement activities. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Adhere to quality standards and ensure products meet specifications. Provide support to other team members as needed. Qualifications Deep experience in soldering and PCBA rework and repair using hand soldering and de-soldering tools. Knowledge of electrical systems and components. Experience building and repairing cabling and harnesses to specification. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Attention to detail and ability to work with precision. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Adaptability and willingness to learn. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. NASA or J=Standard certification in IPC-A-610/IPC-A-620 is required. To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Capella Employees must be a U.S. citizen, lawful U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State and/or the U.S. Department of Commerce, as applicable. Learn more about ITAR here. Preferred experience Experience working in aerospace hardware. Experience with electronic test and measurement equipment. PCBA test experience. Familiarity with Jira and Confluence. Compensation The annual salary range for this role as it is posted is $67,300 - $89,140. This role will be eligible to receive overtime for any work week exceeding 40hrs a week.The final job level and annual salary will be determined based on the education, qualification, knowledge, skills, ability, and experience of the final candidate(s), specific office location and calibrated against relevant market data and internal team equity.
