Responsibilities
• Identify opportunities for supervisory automation or model-predictive control• Optimize APC packages for specific plants/sites or develop new control strategies• Address instrumentation and DCS control opportunities before APC deployment• Integrate advanced analytics and AI forecast modeling for APC performance• Ensure optimal performance of Advanced Process Controls (APCs)• Develop and monitor KPIs for new APCs• Create/maintain APC control narratives• Troubleshoot and optimize OPC communications between APC and DCS
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical, Chemical, Systems Engineering or Computer Science• Ability to travel approximately 15% to the site• Experience with Honeywell Profit Suite/Forge or AspenTech DMC3• Experience with distributed control systems such as TDC3000, Experion, Delta-V, and Foxboro• Experience in the Pulp and Paper industry and processes is a plus• Experience with JMP, Minitab, MATLAB Simulink is a plus• Experience with Python, GitLab, Docker is a plus• Experience with PI Process Book, PI Vision, PI Asset Framework is a plus• 2+ years of experience within a facility operation in an industrial, manufacturing environment is a plus
