Role :  The Candidate will be responsible for operation of all components of the ADVA Process. Operation of the process will involve tasks including receiving of packaged and bulk raw materials, operation of the process equipment, packaging of finished products in quantities from drums to bulk tank trucks and maintaining the process area and documentation.
Duties/Responsibilities : Maintain total compliance to all health, safety, environmental and quality requirements of the department. Maintain work skills required for performing ADVA manufacturing operations, acetone recovery system operations and bulk loading and unloading. Run ADVA reactions from weighing of raw materials to shipping of the final product. These operations may include, but are not limited to the following: Monitoring performance of quality critical equipment and ensure that it operates to equipment specifications. Use local instrumentation and controls as well as a DCS system in the course of process equipment operation. Diagnose process and equipment problems and make minor repairs. Issue MWO's, prepare equipment for maintenance and assist maintenance personnel as needed. Unload bulk and packaged raw materials, load bulk finished goods, package finished goods into pails, drums or totes and re - package material from container to container. Accurate administrative record keeping such as charge data sheets, equipment and shift status logs, startup and shutdown checklists, raw material unloading checklists and all H,S&E documentation. Perform SAP transactions as required, including production reporting, raw material receiving, shipment reporting and writing MWO's. Support Process Safety Management (PSM) / Responsible Care needs. Regularly perform housekeeping in the work area so that safe and clean operations are ensured. Successfully complete initial and annual refresher training to maintain certification. Remain flexible to perform any ADVA job responsibility necessary to support the operation. Work with other department and area personnel to maintain smooth operation, open communication and continuous improvement. Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Special Requirements, Work Schedule : Possess a High School diploma or equivalent GED. Have a reliable attendance record and be willing to work overtime when needed. Possess strong initiative and an ability to work with limited supervision. Have good verbal and written communication skills with other shift personnel and day staff. Ability to be trained on SAP to high level of accuracy for data entry. Must be able to plan/schedule the work day to accomplish multiple tasks and objectives. Must possess mechanical aptitude skills. Ability to lift 55 lb. buckets, move 500 lb. barrels and drive a fork lift on a regular basis. Be able to manipulate drums weighting up to 700 lbs. and tote bins weighing up to 3,000 lbs. with mechanical aids such as forklifts and hand carts. Be able to regularly use respiratory protection devices, including air supplied respirators, cartridge respirators and SCBA units. The current ADVA work schedule is a 12 hour rotating shift schedule. Some overtime is expected beyond the normal base schedule. If you're interested in the position, we encourage you to apply.
