Adminstrative Assistant Public Works Temp

JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Administrative Assistant Temp DEPARTMENT: Public Works
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Responsible for the development and maintenance of the records filing system.
- Prepare or direct preparation of Board and administrative documents, correspondence and policies in draft form.
- Prepare monthly deposits.
- Prepare utility/solid waste bills.
- Prepare monthly deductions and keep records.
- Prepare invoices for rock services and maintain records.
- Prepare timesheets.
- Prepare and maintain documents from local, state and federal agencies such as Indian Health Service, Environmental Protection Agency and Bureau of Indian Affairs.
- Attend Board and staff meetings as assigned.
- Prepare annual budget, track expenditures and review purchase orders and Requests for Payment.
- Prepare monthly financial reports for the administrative office.
- Schedule appointments for the Administrator and other staff as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS: - Prefer Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field and 2 years of administrative experience.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
- Be knowledgeable and proficient in P.C. word processing, spreadsheet, Internet and e-mail.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in team building and teamwork.
- Strong organizational and customer relations skills.
SUPERVISION: - Supervised by the Public Works Director.
SALARY: - Annual salary range is $16.00 per hour. Negotiable, dependent on qualifications.
