Spur Staffing is looking for hardworking and motivated candidates with an eye for detail for an Administrative Assistant position in the Huntsville area for the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) Business Services Department. The ideal candidate will have a self-motivated attitude, the ability to work well in a team, and will have knowledge and experience in the business related field. Duties expected of this position are:
-Ability to pay attention to detail, analyze, follow instructions, and be highly organized.
-Must have project management skills.
-Must be able to effectively communicate.
-Must have computer skills and experience in Microsoft Professional Office Suite.
-Must have a positive customer service attitude and the ability to work within a team with co-workers while reporting to a supervisor and/or director of the Business Services Department.
-Ability to technically write.
-Procurement and/or Accounting experience is a plus. (But not required)
Uniform: -Business Attire
Qualifications expected of this position are: -Bachelors Degree
-Must be about to pass a pre-employment background check.
-Must live in Huntsville or the surrounding area to commute for this position.
-Must be enthusiastic and honest with the ability to critically think, analyze and be a team player.
-Must have 3-years Administrative experience. Procurement and/or Accounting experience is a plus but not required.
-Must be proactive and anticipate the needs of the internal and external customers with pride and ownership.
-Must have a can-do attitude, be able to work well with others and take direction.
-Must be available Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
Status: Permanent Part-Time with the possibility of Full-Time Employment with UAH.
Pay Rate: $17.00 p/hr
