Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an Executive Assistant to directly assist the Vice President, Strategy and Mission Solutions.
This position is located in McLean, VA with potential for a hybrid work arrangement, and occasional travel in the DMV region.
This position coordinates, maintains, and modifies the VP schedule and associated VP and departmental activities, handles confidential business matters and maintains effective and efficient organization of administrative requirements. The selected candidate must have the ability to support and coordinate the VP's time (meetings, schedule, and deliverables) as directed and through independent initiative. The assistant is responsible for preparing and releasing a variety of complex communications and documents that affect the business area; designing and maintaining procedures which include appropriate access to confidential information, preparing and adjusting travel arrangements (domestic and international), completing expense reports, and generally acting and making decisions in alignment with the VP leadership style. Candidate must handle international related activities, to include export authorization, security arrangements, as well as travel booking and expense reporting. In addition, the assistant will support other Strategy team members.
The candidate must be reliable, resourceful, work accurately and independently and have an ability to anticipate, initiate and follow through with work requirements. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism, a high level of discretion and confidentiality, and the ability to interact with internal and external customers as well as senior leadership. Must also be able to organize and prioritize tasks with minimum supervision and possess strong office management and office technology skills. As a highly skilled specialist, the successful candidate will contribute to the development of processes and techniques, completing complex tasks in creative and effective ways with minimal supervision to determine approach, methods and procedures on new assignments.
The successful candidate will work well in a highly dynamic environment, be an independent thinker, be customer-oriented, be proactive and have a track record of working in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment with a high daily workload supporting multiple managers, employees, and priorities as required.
Basic Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent and 8 years additional education and/or related experience supporting senior executives environments. Prior experience supporting VP level executives Computer skills required include advanced expertise in Microsoft Office software. Ability to obtain/maintain Secret security clearance. Preferred Qualifications: College Degree with a minimum of six years supporting senior executives' environment. Information systems expertise including SharePoint, Microsoft OneNote, Confluence and SalesForce Experience with making travel arrangements Experience with Concur (or similar) travel and expense reporting system for reporting domestic and international travel. Ability to compile and generate reports and presentations. Ability to efficiently coordinate Outlook calendar, conference call, and shared link applications. Prior experience coordinating both on and off-site meetings and/or events. Highly developed verbal and written communication skills and proven success in organizing, prioritizing, and completing assigned responsibilities. Experience in supporting a variety of senior management levels and administrative support within an organization. Knowledge of NGC resources, policies, and procedures is desirable. Salary Range: $74,900 - $124,800 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
