Our Hospice is looking for anAdministrative Assistant – (Part Time)for the Inpatient Facility (IPF). This person will utilize knowledge of office systems and procedures, regulations and Our Hospice of South Central Indiana (OHSCI) goals and objectives. They will also contribute to the development and/or modification of operating processes in the IPF. This position will work evenings 3:30-7:3pm Mon - Friday and every third weekend 8 am – 4:30 pm An Administrative Assistant at Our Hospice Will:Answer and screen all incoming calls on a multiple line systemDirects calls appropriately to internal staff and pages external staff (Registered Nurses, Home Health Aides, Chaplains and Social Workers, etc) as neededReceive all walk-ins in a courteous and helpful manner assisting them and directing them to appropriate individuals(s) or office(s) of OHSCIDaily enters and updates information in OHSCI software systems, e.g. relevant patient informationResponsible for electronic medical records (EMR) workflow, electronic consent workflow, scanning documents and input as needed dailyEnsure that documents requiring physician signature are tracked for completion and followed up appropriatelyOrder Durable Medical Equipment (DEM) for transfer and patientsEnsure the on-going accuracy of active charts and verifies accuracy of closed chartsCreate Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) discussion list, agenda and console. After IDG meetings, copies, fax, mail and files IDG informationMaintain integrity of logs kept within the IPFWork independently and within a team on special, nonrecurring and ongoing projects, including fundraising eventsCoordinate meetings, gathers data, prepares correspondence, documents reports, maintains files, and records on behalf of PCM, IPF as neededSchedule assignments for IPF RNs, HHAs and Medical DoctorDemonstrate ability to remain calm and functional in work situation and follows directions and established emergency protocols, i.e. Fire DrillsAn Administrative Assistant at Our Hospice Needs:High School Diploma or GED requiredBusiness school or Associate's degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience3+ years of related experience required; healthcare experience preferredValid Indiana Driver's LicenseSkills Need for an Administrative Assistant at Our Hospice:Proficient in Microsoft Office ProductsAbility to summarize data for reportsStrong working knowledge of administrative office proceduresHigh level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situationsOur Hospice employees are eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)#INDHSCI2
