Job Summary: Provide professional administrative and high-level services to the center managers and staff, users of core facilities, and other university departments. In collaboration with the Director make appropriate judgments and carry out activities in a manner that supports university and department priorities and provides excellent customer service to all.
Essential Duties: Perform advanced and complex administrative functions for the Director and the Department, including ProCard management and processing, purchasing requests and Mav eShop processing, travel requests and reimbursements, human resource processes, assist with asset inventory, CASIM space reporting, and financial and budget reports. Professionally interface with other departments as needed to accomplish these actions. Stay informed on changes in university policies and procedures, and pursue additional training as needed. Coordinate and support the daily operation of core facilities, including user access requests and applications, reservation system upkeep, ordering of lab supplies, usage reporting and invoicing, and scheduling tours and visits from external parties. Provide administrative support and coordination for the university wide Core Facilities Committee. Support the research office DSA and assist with coordination of IT resources and technical support. Help coordinate and support special events including scheduling, communications, and vendors. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with one to three (1-3) years of experience supporting programs and initiatives in an academic research environment, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with UTA procedures and systems (ex. UT Share).
