Full job description Supplemental Information This vacancy is located in the Terrebonne ES office in Houma, Louisiana.


This position may be filled as a probational appointment or a job appointment that may last up to 48 months. Job appointments may convert to probational appointments. Also, it may be filled as a detail and promoted within 12 months.

The selected candidate will be required to submit original documentation upon hire. This position participates in a Career Progression Group (CPG) and may be filled as an Administrative Coordinator 1, 2, or 3. The level at which the vacancy is filled will be determined by the qualifications of the candidate selected. This position provides the opportunity to advance within this job series. The actual starting salary depends on the education and experience of the selected applicant.

Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
No experience or training is required.
Job Concepts Function of Work:
To perform a variety of clerical duties that are routine in nature in support of the staff members and/or operations of an organizational unit or program.


Employees usually follow detailed instructions or procedures. Very limited, if any, discretion is required in the performance of these duties.

Differs from Administrative Coordinator 2 by the absence of experienced-level duties that require some independent judgment to perform.

Answers multi-line telephone or switchboards, giving routine information and screening calls.


Greets visitors.


Receives, sorts, and distributes mail.
Collects and prepares for processing time and attendance sheets for department or office.


Performs routine filing of documents and maintains filing systems.


Copies and/or distributes correspondence, reports, and other documents.


Receives cash, checks, credit cards, vouchers, or departmental charges from customers and/or employees in payment for goods or services.


May operate various office equipment (such as copy machine, calculator) that requires no special knowledge or previous training.


May deliver and pick-up various materials.


Performs related duties as assigned.
