Does your passion for residents stimulate your creative energy and sense of dedication to ensure that each person in your care has documented activities of interest? We are looking for an out-of-the-box thinker to become our Activities Director. The ideal candidate will appeal to all residents from all backgrounds and will provide an opportunity to celebrate every individual by expressing creative talent and fulfilling the basic psychological, social and spiritual needs of our residents. Responsibilities and Purpose Initiate and promote activities both within and outside the institution to stimulate and promote resident interest and general well being. Encourage social communication among residents through group activities, recreation and one-on-one activities. Plan trips (shopping, scenic, other) and arrange for transportation and supervision. Encourage intellectual and educational development through literature, lectures, movies, cultural events and other activities available in the community. Comply with safety regulations and policies. Knowledge of federal and state guidelines. Desired Experience and Education One (1) or more years experience in a skilled nursing environment strongly preferred.
