Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for an Active Directory Expert (MCSE) located in Orlando, FL, with some flexibility for remote work. The Active Directory Expert (MCSE) will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Active Directory infrastructure and related technologies. The role requires expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WINS, Group Policy, LDAP, and Kerberos authentication.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and administer Active Directory infrastructure, including domains, forests, sites, and trusts.
Implement and maintain Group Policies to enforce security policies, manage user access, and control system configurations.
Configure and manage DNS, DHCP, and other related services to ensure seamless network connectivity.
Perform routine monitoring and troubleshooting of Active Directory services to identify and resolve issues promptly.
Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate Active Directory with other systems and applications.
Implement and maintain security best practices, including role-based access controls, authentication mechanisms, and encryption protocols.
Plan and execute Active Directory migrations, upgrades, and consolidations as needed.
Develop and maintain documentation, including diagrams, procedures, and policies related to Active Directory.
Provide guidance and support to junior IT staff and end-users on Active Directory-related issues.
Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends related to Active Directory and identity management.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) certification or equivalent experience.
Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing complex Active Directory environments.
In-depth knowledge of Active Directory concepts, including domains, forests, trusts, replication, and LDAP.
Strong understanding of Group Policy management and troubleshooting.
Experience with Windows Server operating systems, including Windows Server 2012, 2016, and 2019.
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and administration tasks.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Azure Active Directory and cloud-based identity management solutions.
Knowledge of identity federation protocols such as SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
Experience with Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS) and PKI infrastructure.
Familiarity with third-party Active Directory management tools and utilities.
ITIL certification or experience with IT service management frameworks.
