Provide professional assistance to new and existing customers regarding accounts receivable and related questions to build a relationship with them. Utilize accounting software to create invoices according to company practices; send invoices to customers, completing all billing within the specified timeframe. Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts, contacting customers as needed to ensure prompt collection of payments. Make appropriate decisions on accounting activity consistent with approved authority levels. Identify past due accounts, document account status, and calendar follow-up tasks. Manage a portfolio of customers and ensure they pay invoices in a timely manner, make collection calls and take collections actions when approved. Maintain and update customer account files in accounting software, adding new clients and updating current client information. Regularly collect outstanding customer balances, maintaining a clean AR aging report Escalate unresolved issues appropriately, quickly and recommend solutions to minimize future problems. Process contracts, lien waivers and insurance certificates Must be able to meet primary productivity and performance standards. Other projects as assigned. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree preferred. 3 years' experience working with accounts receivable. Must be meticulous with strong organizational skills. Able to track and meet specific deadlines on a regular basis. Strong work ethic, the ability to work in a team environment as well as independently. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
