Job Description The accounts payable staff accountant will support the Playaway Products Finance team supporting accounts payable and general accounting functions within the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
Work within financial reporting systems implementing operating procedures to optimize productivity and efficiency of organization's accounting practices; identify internal control issues and make recommendations to address Manage payables and billings effectively monitoring, verifying, and coding to ensure accuracy and timely payment; provide excellent customer experiences to vendor/payee inquiries Serve as system administrator for third party payment processing platform responsible for user management, identifying and requesting system enhancements, resolving sync issues with ERP system, leading support meetings with provider, etc. Assist with cash monitoring and management through accurate forecasting of disbursement requirements. Support the month-end close process by providing analysis and preparing journal entries (balance sheet reconciliations, budget vs. actual variance analysis, etc.) Perform monthly expense reviews with management to ensure organization's operating expenses are in line with budgeted spends; report on risk and opportunities to facilitate financial projections throughout the year Manage the corporate visa card program Responsible for 1099-NEC, 1099-Misc and 1042-S tax reporting; precluded by supporting payee account set-up through the handling of inquiries about tax forms, U.S. tax treaties, withholding tax and foreign tax documents such as W-8BEN or W-8BEN-E Qualifications Must be very detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills Desire and demeanor to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment Dedicated, friendly and professional team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills Self-directed, motivated, with sound judgment Committed to continuous self-improvement in a collaborative, values-driven environment Strong commitment to the highest standards of personal and professional integrity Working knowledge of NetSuite (ERP) and Tipalti software a plus, but not required Ability to analyze large datasets with SQL. Working knowledge of data visualization software such as Power BI to explore, analyze and present data Proficient in Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel A Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting displaying a commitment to expanding the development of their finance and business experience.  Minimum three to five years of experience in a similar role/responsibility Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
