Accounts Payable Manager

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOversee the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable function and assist as needed.Manage the accounts payable team, providing guidance, support, and training.Monitor vendor accounts for accurate and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, and payments.Utilize aging reports to prioritize payments.Review and reconcile vendor statements as needed and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.Work closely with procurement and finance, to resolve issues and improve processes.Ensure compliance with company policies, as well as state, local, and federal regulations.Identify and provide recommendations for continuous improvement in accuracy and efficiency of the AP function.Assist in month-end close activities related to accounts payable, including accruals and reconciliations.Assist with audit requests as needed.Manage year end processing of 1099 forms for vendors, ensuring compliance with IRS regulations and timely submission.Support ad hoc projects and requests.Other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, related field or relevant experience.Proven experience (7 years) in accounts payable management role.Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.Proficiency in QuickBooks Online preferred.Proficient or Advanced in Excel.Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a challenging environment.Mindfulness and attention to detail for a high level of accuracy.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Leadership and team management skills.Must be 21 years or older with the ability to pass a criminal background check.
