Job Description Summary The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Accounts Payable Supervisor in ensuring efficient working function of the Accounts Payable Department. Ability to work in a team environment. Computer Experience Attention to detail. Customer service experience Ability to multi-task Ability to function in time-critical situations. Essential Physical Requirements Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Must be able to operate a computer keyboard. Must be able to move short distances as well as up and down stairs. Must be able to lift and carry files and boxes up and down stairs. Duties and Responsibilities Customer service for plants and vendors including phone calls, faxes, and e-mails. Research vendor statements as applicable Backup other accounts payable team members as needed. Document archiving Setup and processing of recurring invoice payments Stop payments. Check copies. Voiding checks Process invoices using the purchase order system. Process credit memos Enter utility payments as assigned. Research vendor and refund checks Open and distribute mail and faxes. Backup receptionist as needed. Additional assignments as required by the nature of the position. Education/Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel Previous Accounts Payable experience preferred. Viewpoint experience a plus.
